Today we announce the last of our main characters for Matilda!. Many other ensemble and smaller character roles have also been cast and primary students will also be invited soon to participate in the whole school production.
Edith C (Year 10) is Amanda. Edith says āAmanda is known as the girl with pigtails who gets thrown over the fence by Trunchbull. She is a bit shy and doesnāt know what to doā. Edith is usually behind the scenes at REC shows but wants to do more on stage roles. She played a judge in The Mole at 2024ās RECās Got Talent.
Ollie C (Year 8) is Bruce, the boy well known for eating an entire chocolate cake as punishment from Trunchbull. Ollie says, āBruce kind of has the same personality as me ā hungry and funny. Iām most looking forward to eating chocolate cakeā.
Lincoln F (Year 9) is Eric. Lincoln describes Eric as āa student who is scared, nervous and gets picked on a lot by Trunchbullā. Previously seen as Augustus Gloop in The Chocolate Factory, Lincoln considered auditioning for Bruce, but didnāt want to get typecast as āthe kid who eats chocolateā.
